MY JOURNEY
How curiosity became systems thinking.
Most careers can be explained by a timeline.
Mine probably can too.
But when I look back, I don’t remember job titles first.
I remember the questions.
The questions that quietly followed me from one role to the next.
Fifteen years inside complex organizations
For more than fifteen years I worked in international Shared Services and business operations.
Officially, my work belonged to finance and operations.
In reality, it taught me something much broader.
How organizations function.
How processes connect people across countries.
How small operational decisions influence hundreds of daily activities.
How much invisible work keeps complex systems running.
Every organization has two structures.
The visible one.
And the one that actually makes everything work.
At first, I thought I was learning operations.
Looking back, I was learning something else.
Not processes.
Patterns.
Not departments.
Connections.
Not procedures.
Systems.
WHAT CHANGED?
At first I focused on solving problems.

Then I became interested in processes.
↓
Soon I noticed recurring patterns.
↓
Eventually I realized everything was connected.
It was never only about the work.
What fascinated me most wasn’t completing the work.
It was understanding why it worked.
Why one process succeeded while another didn’t.
Why two teams solved the same problem differently.
Why some improvements lasted.
And others quietly disappeared.
Without realizing it,
I had already started thinking in systems.
Questions that never left
WHY?
Why does it work?
HOW?
How could it work better?
WHAT CONNECT THEM?
People. Processes. Technology.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
How do today's ideas become tomorrow's systems?
Curiosity expanded.
The questions stayed the same.
Only the subjects changed.
People.
Learning.
Career development.
Technology.
Artificial intelligence.
Different disciplines.
The same curiosity.
The same patterns.
University wasn’t a restart.
Returning to university to study Human Resources didn’t feel like starting over.
It felt like continuing the same journey from another perspective.
It simply gave new language to ideas I had already been exploring.
People • Organizations • Change • Development
I wasn’t changing direction.
I was finally giving a name to the path I’d already been following.
“Sometimes education doesn’t change your direction.
It helps explain the path you’ve already been walking.”
Looking back differently
Today I no longer separate my experience into finance,
HR,
operations,
or AI.
Instead, I see how each chapter shaped the next.
Looking back
Finance taught me structure.

HR taught me people.

Technology expanded the possibilities.
↓
Systems thinking connected everything.
This website is part of that journey.
